New trophy (Camelot 10 year crest)

This is the new ten-year trophy from patch 1.112. I tried to get this trophy with 10 or 15 different toons on three servers. Despite the fact that all these toons were on the same account, I was able to get the trophy only on Ywain and only with one particular toon.

Edit: As of Sept. 17, 2012, this trophy is available on Gaheris.

I wonder if it is a bug or if they are basing the trophy off how old the character is a opposed to the account.

I deleted my first toons long ago due to factors like I changed servers or the toon itself no longer served a purpose (like my necro I made when i started on Gaheris went bye bye as soon as I got my 4th 50 because I knew eventually I would need the space and I didn't need the necro. Then I made another necro a year ago.... so much for not needing that first necro) Guess that means I won't be seeing any tophy for a few years at least.

The toon that got the trophy wasn't ten years old, and he was younger than other toons that couldn't get the trophy.

I don't know about your individual situations, but I was repeatedly told on the last reward trophy that my account was old enough by activation date but since I had taken breaks and not played a complete 5 year stretch my accounts did not qualify. I'm quite sure I qualified for it by the time I last canceled, but it had never become available to either of my accounts.

To sum up, I think you need an account with a complete ten year stretch on any single account, and your chances of being boned if you should add up ten years after the release of such rewards is pretty high.

I could be way off base though.

The only person who reported a bug here is me.

You're suggesting that my account may not qualify for the trophy. If it doesn't qualify, it should not have received the trophy -- but it did.

On the other hand, if it does qualify, I should have been able to get the trophy with any level 50 toon on the account -- but I couldn't. I had to try twelve or fifteen toons on three servers to get it a single time.

Either way, this is a bug.

Here's another aspect of the bug which I didn't bother mentioning earlier.

When most of this account's toons ask for the trophy, the Census Overseer tells them that they've already received their reward. They were told this on all three servers before I managed to get the trophy a single time on Ywain. On two servers where the account has not received the trophy, they are still being told this.

Regardless of whether the account qualifies, that's a bug.

Mythic said in writing that the account doesn't need a five-year stretch but rather its active periods have to add up to five years. Here are their exact words. Note the last sentence:

-- Players who have accounts which have been active for 5 years are eligible to receive two new trophies as rewards to our veteran players.

-- Players should visit the Census Overseer, in their capital city, just outside the throne room, to find out if they are eligible.

-- Note: Your account does not need to be active for 5 years consecutively, but 5 years accumulatively to be eligible.

By the way, I'm pretty sure my account has been open for more than ten years "accumulatively." Which is pretty disturbing -- I wasted more than $15 x 120 months = $1800 dollars on this silly game. And that's just one of my accounts!

Yeah, that was what I was saying actually. I'm certain my accounts had over 5 years but when I quit last year I couldn't claim it on either account. I gave up /appealing about it. I probably didn't word it very well though.

What I didn't put in, (which is what made my brain make a connection between your issue and my old one) was my friend whom I got playing with the old BaF sub bonus qualified for the trophies about a year before I quit. If his account qualified mine surely would have.

Anyhoo, hope they get your issue fixed. Mine never was.

On the trophy banner, it shows the 10years is from MMI - MMXI. This looks like 2001-2011. So why did they leave it to 2012 ro award the bonus? One of my accounts was opened in Apr 2002, but none of the characters on Ywain, Mordred, Gaheris or Exccalibur has the Revered Elder title and none can get the Census Overseer to award anything other that the 5yr stuff.
Did any of the tested toons have the correct title?

I have that same problem on a different account. This other account is eight years old and it can't get the five year trophy on any server. This account has been active "accumulatively" for the whole eight years except maybe for a month or two.

I think those years are on the trophy because the game went live on October 9, 2001 and reached its tenth year anniversary on October 9, 2011.

So why did they leave it to 2012 ro award the bonus?

I guess because they don't have the resources to do things quickly. They said all along that their anniversary events would stretch out over the whole year until October 2012. Here's Stuart Zissu (the producer) saying so in a video that came out on the actual anniversary:

Throughout the year, you will find new titles hallmarking the 10 year anniversary, as well as the year-long celebration. Zissu made that announcement on Valentine's Day, more than three months before they managed to implement those things on live servers.

Did any of the tested toons have the correct title?

On my ten-year-old account, all the toons (even level 1's) have both the five-year title and ten-year title.

On my eight-year-old account, none of the toons have either title.

Edit: I just remembered that the my eight-year-old account is comped by Mythic -- I don't pay for it. Maybe that explains why the servers don't recognize that the account is more than five years old. They may be looking for five years worth of payments.
