Links and Intro

Postby Cerise » Sun May 23, 2010 7:38 am

First, thanks again for adding the guild! My husband and I played initially four years ago. We've only ever played on Gaheris and never got into the RvR side of the game. We've been back about two months now and a few weeks ago he found he'd been promoted to leader rank. Our hope is that in the absence of the original founders, we are good caretakers and represent the guild well.

As a returning player, there was so much I had to learn again and my bookmark list was getting too overwhelming. So I've created a website with a link list as well as informational forums. This was created mainly to help me find information and is geared more for the new player (been trying to respark interest in the game via a blog) so may likely not be of much use for the veterans.

But if anyone has info to add, I'd love to add it to the links or forums. Everything is still under construction but can be found HERE

I would recommend adding LOKI and Kort's to the list of templating programs, as some people (myself included) do not like using GearBunny. A link to the DAOC Charplanner would also be very helpful. For the Gaheris players, Unstacker is also useful.

LOKI: http://www.syntheticrealms.com/loki
Kort's: http://sourceforge.net/projects/kscraft/
Charplan: http://daoctb.sourceforge.net/
Unstacker: http://unstacker.tobinweb.net/

I'll eventually get around to adding a guide (up to date, even, VOS is woefully out-dated) to the MLs and artifacts, and you're welcome to host that as well (or link to it, I'm not terribly picky as long as I get credit for what I wrote)
I can be reached via email at blasek0 AT gmail D.OT com

Awesome, thanks! I'll add on the template sites. I don't use any of them so had no idea what people typically use.

Thanks again!

I've found IGN's ML Guide to be the most digestible. It is compact and for the most part complete.

I think Cerise stopped playing a couple of months after she started this thread. Maybe the guild has been inactive since then.
